Best Dishwasher in Israel 2026: A Buying Guide for Israeli Kitchens
The short answer: for a family of 3 to 5, the best dishwasher in Israel is a full-size (60 cm / 24 in) model with 13 to 14 place settings, noise of up to 44 dB and an official-importer warranty, which costs about ₪2,200–3,500 (NIS) today. Below that, good models at ₪1,300–2,300 give up quiet, drying and build quality. Above ₪3,800 you pay for silence, advanced drying and app control.
This guide is based on official spec sheets, importer websites and Israeli store prices in November 2026. We did not physically test the machines: we compare published data, warranty terms and the criteria that actually matter in an Israeli kitchen, such as hard water and limescale, the electrical hookup and cabinet space.

Bosch SMS4ECI28E
60 cm, 14 place settings, 42 dB, energy rating A, 9 liters per Eco cycle
Why: According to the importer’s site, this model has an A rating, 42 dB, AquaStop, automatic door opening for drying and Home Connect control, i.e. premium features at a mid-range price.
Watch out: The price range between stores is very wide, so compare and check that the unit comes with a BSH warranty.
Electrolux ESA47200SX
60 cm, 13 place settings, 46 dB, energy rating E, 30-minute quick program
Why: Per the store’s specs it has 13 place settings, hygiene programs and AirDry at a price about ₪1,000 lower than Bosch’s mid-range models.
Watch out: 46 dB is audible in an open kitchen, and at the time of checking the model was temporarily out of stock at one store.
Midea WQP14-W7633C
60 cm, 14 place settings, energy rating E, 11 liters, 8 programs, half load
Why: Per the store’s specs it has 14 place settings, a half-load button, delay start and app control, at one of the lowest prices in the category; the official importer is Hamilton.
Watch out: The noise level isn’t listed in the store’s specs, and an E rating means higher electricity use than A–C models.
Bosch SMV4ECX26E
Fully integrated 60 cm, 13 place settings, 44 dB (41 on the quiet program), rating D
Why: Per the store’s specs it has 6 programs, half load, EfficientDry and Silence on Demand, and an 81.5 cm height that fits a standard niche.
Watch out: You need to add the cabinet panel and the carpenter’s installation to the budget.
Midea WQP8-W7634C
Slim 45 cm, 10 place settings, rating E, 9 liters, half load
Why: Per the store’s specs it’s a slim dishwasher with 10 place settings, 9 liters per cycle and app control, at one of the lowest prices for a slim model from an official importer.
Watch out: 49 dB according to a price comparison site, so it’s not ideal for an open kitchen.
Electrolux EFC3862MS
Countertop dishwasher, 8 place settings, 49 dB, rating D, 55×50×60.4 cm
Why: Per the store’s specs it holds 8 place settings, far more than most compact dishwashers, and includes a 72°C hygiene program.
Watch out: It takes up about half a meter of counter and connects to cold water only.

Prices in Israel: Dishwashers
For a couple or a family that wants a dishwasher that gets the job done; you give up quiet (46–49 dB), advanced drying and usually a high energy rating.
The sweet spot for most families: 13–14 place settings, 42–44 dB, drying with automatic door opening and an official-importer warranty.
For a kitchen open to the living room where you want maximum quiet, good drying even for plastic, a third cutlery drawer and app control.
Price ranges seen in Israeli shops and price-comparison sites in November 2026, VAT included, usually without installation.
What to look at before buying
| What to check | What it is | Our recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Width and installation type | A full-size dishwasher is 60 cm wide, a slim one is 45 cm, and there are countertop models too. There’s also a difference between freestanding, fully integrated and semi-integrated models. | If you have 60 cm free, get a full-size model: it holds about 13–14 place settings versus 9–11 in a slim one, and the price difference is small. |
| Number of place settings | A place setting is a standard set for one diner (plates, glass and cutlery). It’s the official capacity measure. | 1–2 people: 6–10 settings. 3–4 people: 12–13. 5 or more, or a family that hosts on Shabbat: 14. |
| Noise level (dB) | Noise during washing, measured in dB. Every 3 dB is a noticeable difference. | In a kitchen open to the living room, look for 44 dB or less. 42 dB is considered very quiet. At 48 and above you’ll clearly hear it in the evening. |
| Energy rating | Store sites usually show the new European rating (A to G), sometimes alongside the old one (A+++ etc.). | Only compare ratings on the same scale. A or B on the new scale is very efficient, C–D is reasonable, E is common on cheap models. |
| Water use per cycle | How many liters the dishwasher uses on the Eco program, per the spec sheet. | 9–11 liters per cycle on a full-size model is a good range; that’s less than most people use washing by hand. |
| Drying | Standard drying leaves drops, especially on plastic. Drying with automatic door opening or zeolite improves the result. | If you want to unload dry dishes, look for automatic door opening or ExtraDry in the specs. |
| Water softener and limescale | Water in most of Israel is hard, and a dishwasher without the right salt and hardness setting will build up limescale on dishes and the heating element. | Make sure there’s a salt compartment and that you can set the water hardness from the panel or app, and set it on installation day. |
| Warranty and importer | An official importer (yevuan rasmi) provides warranty and technician service in Israel; with parallel import (yevu makbil) the warranty comes from the seller. | Prefer an official importer and check who issues the warranty certificate (e.g. BSH Israel for Bosch, Mini Line for Electrolux, Hamilton for Midea). |
Which dishwasher is best for most families in Israel?
For most families, the best choice is a 60 cm full-size dishwasher with 13–14 place settings, 44 dB or less and an official-importer warranty, in the range of about ₪2,200–3,500.
The reason is simple: in an average Israeli family the dishwasher runs almost every day, and on Shabbat and holidays sometimes twice. One that’s too small forces you to wash some pots by hand, and a noisy one is a nuisance when the kitchen is open to the living room, which is the case in most new apartments. The price difference between a slim and a full-size dishwasher is usually a few hundred shekels, but the capacity difference is 3–5 place settings.
If you don’t have 60 cm free, there are two alternatives. The first is a small 45 cm dishwasher, which holds about 9–11 place settings and suits a couple or a small family. The second is a countertop dishwasher, which needs no cabinet at all. We cover both in our small dishwasher guide.
If you’re building or renovating a kitchen, consider an integrated dishwasher hidden behind a cabinet panel. In that case, decide together with the carpenter before ordering the cabinets, because the niche dimensions and plinth height determine which models will fit.
Rule of thumb for capacity:
- 1–2 people: 6–10 place settings (slim or countertop).
- 3–4 people: 12–13 place settings (full-size).
- 5 or more people, or a home that hosts a lot: 14 place settings.
A word on brands: in Israel the main sellers are Bosch and Siemens (importer BSH), Electrolux and AEG, Midea, Beko, General and Miele. Bosch has the widest range in stores, so we gave it its own guide. That doesn’t make it the right choice for everyone: on a budget of up to ₪2,000, Midea, Beko and Electrolux models deliver full capacity for less.
How much does a good dishwasher cost in Israel in 2026?
A good dishwasher costs about ₪2,200–3,500 in Israel in 2026; basic models start at about ₪1,300, and premium models reach ₪4,000–5,700.
Based on the price ranges we saw in stores and on price comparison sites (such as Zap) in November 2026:
- Basic full-size (Midea, Beko, Electrolux): about ₪1,300–2,550.
- Mid-range full-size (Bosch Serie 2 and Serie 4, Siemens): about ₪2,200–3,800.
- Premium full-size (Bosch Serie 6, Miele): about ₪3,900–5,700 and more.
- Slim 45 cm: about ₪1,000–3,300.
- Countertop: about ₪1,100–1,900.
Note the spread: the exact same model can differ by more than ₪1,500 between stores. For example, for the Bosch SMS4ECI28E we saw prices from about ₪2,800 to about ₪4,470 in the same week. Before buying, check the price at several stores and make sure you’re comparing like with like: delivery, carrying to your floor, installation, removal of the old dishwasher and warranty.
What’s included in the price? At most stores delivery is included or cheap, but installation isn’t always. Installing a freestanding dishwasher is relatively simple: hooking up to a water tap, the drain and an outlet. Installing an integrated dishwasher also involves mounting a cabinet panel and usually requires a carpenter or experienced installer.
Another cost to factor in is a warranty extension. With some importers you can extend the warranty to three years for about ₪199 (as offered, for example, on the Bosch Israel website and in promotions by other importers). On an appliance that costs ₪3,000 and has a pump, a heating element and an electronic board, that’s usually a reasonable expense.
When is it worth paying more? If the kitchen is open to the living room, if you run the dishwasher at night, or if you want completely dry dishes without towel-drying. In those cases, the ₪800–1,200 difference between a basic and a mid-range model buys 42–44 dB instead of 46–49, drying with automatic door opening and usually a better energy rating. When isn’t it? If the dishwasher sits in a closed kitchen and you run it in the morning when no one’s home, a ₪1,500–2,000 model with 13–14 place settings will do the job.
Limescale and hard water: what to know about dishwashers in Israel
Water in most of Israel is hard, so you must use dishwasher salt and set the water hardness on the machine on installation day.
Hard water contains a lot of calcium and magnesium. At 50–70°C (122–158°F) it leaves a white film on glasses, clogs the spray arms and builds up on the heating element. Modern dishwashers include a built-in water softener that works with special dishwasher salt. The softener is only effective if the dishwasher knows how hard your water is.
What to do in practice:
- Check your water hardness with your local water utility (ta’agid ha-mayim), or with the test strip that comes with some dishwashers.
- Set the level on the control panel or in the app. The Siemens Israel site (part of the BSH group) explains that you can do this from the panel or the Home Connect app.
- Fill the salt compartment: the first time, fill it with water and then salt until it overflows, close it and run a program to rinse away the excess.
- Never put detergent in the salt compartment.
- Add rinse aid, which helps drying and prevents spots.
All-in-one tablets sometimes contain a softening agent, but in areas with very hard water they don’t replace salt. If you see a white film on glasses even with salt, raise the hardness level in the settings.
Every month or two, run a machine-cleaning program (Machine Care, available on Bosch and Electrolux) or an empty hot cycle with a dedicated cleaner, and clean the filter at the bottom. This applies to any dishwasher, expensive or cheap: most common problems in Israel, such as odor, slow draining and dishes coming out dirty, come from a clogged filter and limescale, not from a defect.
Energy label, water and noise: how to read the spec sheet
The right way to read a spec sheet is to compare three numbers: the energy rating on the same scale, liters per cycle and decibels.
Energy rating. Israeli stores currently show two kinds of rating. The new European scale (A to G) is stricter, so a dishwasher that used to be A++ may now appear as E. Product pages sometimes show both ratings together. Always compare new rating with new rating. On the new scale, A and B appear on mid-range and premium models (for example, the Bosch SMS4ECI28E is rated A), C and D are common on mid-range models, and E is the common rating on cheap models and slim dishwashers.
What is it worth in money? According to the importer’s site, an A-rated dishwasher uses about 0.54 kWh per Eco cycle. If you run it 250 times a year, the difference between A and E is usually a few tens of shekels a year, not hundreds. In other words, the rating matters, but it shouldn’t be the only consideration.
Water. A modern full-size dishwasher uses about 9–11 liters on the Eco program. That’s less than most people use washing the same load by hand.
Noise. This is the parameter that most affects daily life in a home where the kitchen opens onto the living room. 42 dB is considered very quiet, 44 quiet, 46 audible, and 48–49 clearly noticeable. If the dishwasher runs at night near a bedroom, it’s worth paying more for quiet.
Program length. The Eco program usually takes 3.5–4.5 hours. That’s normal: the energy saving comes from heating less over a longer time. When you’re in a hurry there are quick programs of 30–60 minutes, but they use more electricity.
Programs you’ll actually use. Most families use three: Eco for daily use, Auto when there are pots, and Quick for glasses and lightly soiled plates. An intensive 70°C program is useful for burnt pots and baking trays. Don’t pay more just for a large number of programs: a soil sensor, half load and delay start are more useful.
Official importer or parallel import: what’s the warranty difference?
For a dishwasher, prefer an official importer, because warranty and service come from the importer’s technicians with original spare parts.
Store product pages usually show an “official importer” field next to the name of the company that issues the warranty certificate. For example, Bosch models are warranted by BSH Home Appliances, Electrolux by Mini Line, and Midea by Hamilton. If it says the product is not from an official importer, the warranty comes from the seller, and it’s worth finding out in advance who comes to repair it and how quickly.
What you get from the official importer:
- A one-year warranty as required by law, and sometimes a paid extension. The Bosch Israel website offers a three-year warranty for an extra ₪199 on a range of products, where the two extra years are a limited warranty according to the warranty certificate.
- Technicians who know the model.
- Menus and programs adapted to the local market.
Parallel import (yevu makbil) can save money, but on a dishwasher, which has a pump, a heating system and an electronic board, one fault after the warranty period can wipe out the saving. If you do buy a parallel import, ask for the warranty terms in writing.
Before ordering, also check delivery and installation: whether installation is included, whether you need a new water connection or a drain extension, and who removes the old dishwasher. A dishwasher plugs into a regular 16-amp outlet, but preferably not on the same circuit as a built-in oven or another powerful appliance. (Israel runs on 230V/50Hz, so a dishwasher brought from the US on 110V would need a transformer.) If you’re also planning an induction cooktop, plan the kitchen circuits with your electrician.
What to check in the store before paying: that the dishwasher is marked as official importer, that the warranty issuer is named, that delivery and installation are itemized in the order, and that you can return it if the dimensions don’t fit. When buying online, the cancellation rules for distance sales under the Consumer Protection Law apply, but an appliance that’s already been installed and used may be excluded, so check dimensions before installation.
Shabbat mode on a dishwasher: does it exist?
On the product pages of all the models in this guide, Shabbat mode doesn’t appear in the specs, so if it matters to you, check for halachic certification of the specific model.
On ovens, Shabbat mode certified by a halachic institute appears on many more models, but on dishwashers we didn’t find it on the models we checked. If the question matters to you, there are two options. The first is to look for a model with written certification from a recognized halachic institute and ask the seller for it before buying. The second is to consult a rabbi about using delay start, which almost every dishwasher has (usually up to 12 or 24 hours). We don’t rule on halacha, so we won’t recommend a particular method.
On kashrut there’s another practical point: some families prefer a full-size dishwasher with a third cutlery drawer, to separate types of utensils or simply to free up space in the baskets. If you’re planning a meat (basari) dishwasher and a dairy (chalavi) one, two slim dishwashers, or a full-size plus a countertop model, is a common solution.
Another frequent question is kashering a new or used dishwasher. That’s a halachic question whose answer depends on the interior material (stainless steel or plastic) and on custom, so again the recommendation is to ask a rabbi. Technically, most modern dishwashers have a stainless steel tub and plastic-coated baskets, which is usually stated in the manufacturer’s specs.
If you’re equipping a whole kitchen, check Shabbat mode first on the oven. We cover that in our built-in oven guide, and cooktop considerations in our induction cooktop guide.
Common problems and what to check before calling a technician
Most dishwasher problems in Israel come from a clogged filter, limescale or wrong loading, and you can fix them without a technician.
- Dishes come out with a white film: salt is missing, or the hardness level is set too low. Raise the level and add rinse aid.
- Water stays at the bottom: the filter is clogged or the drain hose is kinked. Clean the filter and check the hose behind the machine.
- Bad smell: food residue in the filter and door seal. Run a machine-cleaning program and leave the door slightly open between cycles.
- Dishes aren’t dry: plastic always dries less. Rinse aid, the ExtraDry option or automatic door opening help.
- Error code on the display: check the manual. Some codes refer to a closed water tap or the filter.
- The dishwasher won’t start: check that the door is fully closed, the child lock isn’t on and no delay start was set by mistake.
- Leak under the dishwasher: usually caused by using regular dish soap instead of a tablet, which creates foam, or a loose tap connection. Models with AquaStop, like most Bosch models, have extra flood protection.
- Clogged spray arms: remove them according to the manual and clean the holes with a toothpick. In hard-water areas this happens faster.
If the problem persists after these checks, contact the importer’s service rather than an outside technician while the appliance is under warranty, so you don’t void it. Keep the invoice and warranty certificate, and register the appliance on the importer’s site if possible: on the Bosch Israel site, for example, joining the club adds one more month of warranty.
How to load correctly: pots and pans in the lower basket facing down, glasses in the upper basket at an angle, and cutlery in the third drawer or basket with handles down. Don’t block the spray arms with tall trays. Correct loading matters more than the program you choose, and it’s the difference between a dishwasher that cleans well and one that disappoints.
If you’re moving or buying a washing machine at the same time: the principles of limescale, water softening and warranty are very similar, and we cover them in our best washing machine guide.
The bottom line
Reasonable budget: ₪2,200–3,500. Common width: 60 cm / 24 in (slim: 45 cm / 18 in).

FAQ: best dishwasher in Israel
What is the best dishwasher to buy in Israel in 2026?
No single model fits everyone. For a family of 4–5, a full-size dishwasher with 13–14 place settings, up to 44 dB and an official importer in the ₪2,200–3,500 range is the safe choice. A model like the Bosch SMS4ECI28E meets all these criteria per its specs, and on a lower budget you can consider the Electrolux ESA47200SX or the Midea WQP14-W7633C.
How much does a good dishwasher cost in Israel?
Based on Israeli store prices in November 2026, a good full-size dishwasher costs about ₪2,200–3,500. Basic models start at about ₪1,300, and premium models reach ₪5,000 and more. Compare stores, because for the same model we saw differences of more than ₪1,500.
Full-size or slim dishwasher?
If you have 60 cm free, get a full-size model: it holds 13–14 place settings versus 9–11 in a slim one, and the price difference is small. A slim dishwasher suits a couple, a small family or a kitchen with no other space.
Does a dishwasher save water compared to washing by hand?
Yes, in most cases. A modern full-size dishwasher uses about 9–11 liters per Eco cycle per the specs, which is less than washing the same amount of dishes by hand with the tap running.
How long does the Eco program take, and why so long?
The Eco program usually takes 3.5–4.5 hours. The electricity saving comes from heating to a lower temperature over a longer time. When you’re in a hurry, use a 30–60 minute quick program.
Do I need an electrician to install a dishwasher?
A freestanding dishwasher plugs into a regular 16-amp outlet, a water tap and the drain, and the store’s installer or a plumber is usually enough. If there’s no outlet near the dishwasher, or it’s shared with the oven or cooktop, it’s better to have an electrician add a point.
Why do my glasses come out with a white film?
It’s almost always limescale from hard water. Check that there’s salt in the salt compartment, raise the water hardness setting, add rinse aid, and run a machine-cleaning program every month or two.
Is there a dishwasher with Shabbat mode?
On the models we checked in this guide, Shabbat mode doesn’t appear in the specs. If it matters to you, ask the seller for written certification from a halachic institute for the specific model, and consult a rabbi about using delay start.
Is it worth buying a parallel-import dishwasher?
Usually not. With an official importer, warranty and service come from the importer with original parts. With parallel import the warranty is the seller’s, and one fault after a year can wipe out the saving.
Is a dishwasher warranty extension worth it?
On a dishwasher costing ₪2,500 or more, a three-year extension for about ₪199, as some importers offer, is usually a reasonable expense. Read the terms: sometimes the extra years are a limited warranty.
