Best Washing Machine in Israel: The Complete 2026 Buying Guide
For most families in Israel, the best washing machine is a front loader, 8–9 kg, 1,200–1,400 RPM, inverter motor, sold with official importer (yevuan rasmi) warranty, and in November 2026 it costs about ₪1,850–3,000 (NIS). Above that you pay for more capacity, quieter running, steam and an app; below it you usually give up good warranty and service.
We did not test these machines physically. This guide is based on the specs published by manufacturers and stores, prices we saw on Israeli price comparison sites (like Zap) and retailers, importer warranty terms, and the criteria that actually matter in daily use. Below you will find a budget table, criteria with numbers, models selling right now and answers to common questions.
The short answer
Washing machine, November 2026- 8 kg for a couple/3 people, 9–10 kg for a family
- 1,200–1,400 RPM
- Front load (top load only when width is limited)
- Inverter / brushless
- ₪1,850–3,000
- Official importer, at least 1 year + check motor warranty
- Compare kWh per 100 cycles, not just the letter

Samsung WW90DG6U95LK
9 kg, 1,400 RPM, class A, auto-dosing, AI Wash, EcoBubble, Wi-Fi
Why: Per the spec it has automatic detergent dosing (Auto Dispense) and AI Wash, which adjusts water and time to the load, at a price starting around ₪2,270.
Watch out: Make sure the seller states official importer warranty, since several resellers appear on the comparison page.
AEG LF61842BM
8 kg, 1,400 RPM, class A, ProSense, Eco 40-60: about 0.79 kWh and 52 liters
Why: According to the program data stores publish, Eco 40-60 consumption is low, and ProSense weighs the load and adjusts water and time.
Watch out: Only 8 kg; check who the official importer is and the seller's service terms.
Miele WWD120
8 kg, 1,400 RPM, Honeycomb drum, ProfiEco motor, CapDosing, made in Germany according to some sellers
Why: Per the spec it has a Honeycomb drum, ProfiEco motor and enamel front, and it is sold in Israel by about 17 stores.
Watch out: The price range between stores is very wide; check who provides warranty and service in Israel before paying.

All Washing machines in our database
Prices in Israel: Washing machine
8–9 kg Bosch Series 4 or basic LG: fine for most families; you give up large capacity, Wi-Fi and advanced programs.
9–10 kg, 1,400 RPM, steam, add-a-garment mid-cycle and a quiet motor: the best-value price point for a family of 4 or more.
Bosch Series 6/8, Miele, 13 kg LG with auto-dosing: quiet, smart dosing and heavy build, at about twice the price of a basic machine.
Price ranges seen in Israeli shops and price-comparison sites in November 2026, VAT included, usually without installation.
What to look at before buying
| What to check | What it is | Our recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity (kg) | The maximum weight of dry laundry on the cotton program. In practice most loads are smaller than the maximum. | 1–2 people: 7–8 kg. 3–4 people: 8–9 kg. 5+ or washing comforters: 10 kg and up. The price gap between 8 and 9 kg is usually only ₪100–300. |
| Spin speed (RPM) | How many revolutions per minute the drum turns during the spin. A stronger spin leaves less water in the clothes. | 1,200 RPM is enough if you line-dry. With a dryer, 1,400 RPM shortens drying time and saves electricity. 1,600 RPM is mostly relevant if you tumble-dry everything. |
| Motor | An inverter / brushless motor (EcoSilence on Bosch, Inverter Direct Drive on LG, Digital Inverter on Samsung) is quieter and wears less. | Prefer an inverter motor. Some importers give it a long warranty (for example 9 years on the LG motor, according to some sellers), so check the warranty certificate. |
| Energy label and water use | Since 2022 Israel has been moving to the European standard, so stores show old ratings (A+++) and new ones (A–G) side by side. | Compare electricity use in kWh per 100 cycles on the Eco 40-60 program and water use in liters. An efficient 8 kg machine uses about 0.8 kWh and 50 liters per cycle on Eco. |
| Dimensions and door | Most front loaders are 60 cm wide, 85 cm high and 47–65 cm deep. Top loaders are 40 cm wide. | Measure the niche, doors and hallways before buying (the Standards Institution of Israel recommends this too). For a shallow niche, look for a Slim model about 47.5 cm deep. |
| Noise | Wash and spin noise is measured in decibels and shown on the European label as class A–D. | If the machine sits in an open kitchen or next to a bedroom, look for about 50–52 dB washing and under 72 dB spinning. |
| Importer and warranty | An official importer (for example BSH for Bosch) gives full warranty and technician service. With parallel import (yevu makbil), the warranty is the seller's. | Buy with an official importer warranty certificate, at least one year, and ask in writing how long the motor is covered and how fast a technician arrives. |
Which washing machine is best for most homes in Israel?
Short answer: a front loader of 8–9 kg, 1,200–1,400 RPM, with an inverter motor and official importer warranty, for about ₪1,850–3,000.
That combination covers about 80% of needs: a family's daily wash, towels and sheets once a week, and a quick program for work and school clothes. Front loaders usually use less water than top loaders of the same capacity, spin faster, and you can stack a dryer on top with a stacking kit.
In November 2026 the Israeli market is dominated by Bosch, LG and Samsung, followed by AEG, Electrolux and Miele. On price comparison pages most best-selling models are 8–10 kg, with starting prices between about ₪1,600 and ₪2,300. Below ₪1,500 you will mostly find lesser-known brands with 6–7 kg and 800–1,000 RPM; that can work for a rental or students, but service and spare parts are less predictable.
If you are torn between sizes, we have a separate 8 kg washing machine guide comparing 8, 9 and 10 kg. If there is no room for a front loader, read the top-load washing machine guide. And if there is no room for two appliances, see the washer dryer combo guide.
On machine type: front load is the default; top load fits when you do not have 60 cm of width, and a washer dryer fits when there is no room for two appliances.
- Front load: 60 cm wide, 7–13 kg, spin up to 1,400–1,600 RPM, a dryer can be stacked on top. Most models in this guide are front loaders.
- Top load: about 40 cm wide, 6–7 kg, easier on the back since you do not bend. Store prices put it at about ₪1,600–2,900, so it is not cheaper. Details in the top-load washing machine guide.
- Washer dryer: one appliance that washes and dries, usually 9 kg wash and 6 kg dry. Saves space but dries less per load and takes longer. Details in the washer dryer combo guide.
If you have room for a stack (washer below, dryer above), two separate appliances usually dry faster and are more flexible than a combo. An 8–9 kg heat pump dryer costs about ₪1,950–4,950; see our best dryer guide.
What do you give up at each price level? Up to about ₪2,100 you get a reliable 8–9 kg machine with an inverter motor, a quick program and a drum-clean program, but no add-a-garment, no auto-dosing and usually a simple display. Between ₪2,100 and ₪3,200 you add 9–10 kg, 1,400–1,600 RPM, steam, stain programs and a quieter motor. Above ₪3,300 you pay for auto-dosing, Wi-Fi, a large 13 kg drum or a premium brand. For most families, the mid-range is where every extra shekel still buys something tangible.
How many kg do you need? Sizing by family size
For most families of 3–4, 8–9 kg is enough; 10 kg and up is only worth it with 5+ people or if you wash down comforters at home.
The capacity on the sticker refers to dry laundry on the cotton program. On synthetics and delicates the allowed load is about half. So a 9 kg machine gives real headroom even when you wash towels or jeans.
- 1–2 people: 7–8 kg
- 3–4 people: 8–9 kg
- 5–6 people: 9–10 kg
- 7+ people, or washing double comforters: 10–13 kg
The price gap between 8 and 9 kg is small: per store prices, the 8 kg LG WFS8014WB starts at about ₪1,750 and the 9 kg WFS9014WW at about ₪1,900. Going from 9 to 10 kg usually adds another ₪200–400. A machine larger than you need does not save money: with a partial load, new machines do weigh the laundry and shorten the program, but they do not drop to the consumption of a small machine.
Also watch the depth: machines of 10 kg and up are deeper (about 56–65 cm). Check that the door opens in the niche without hitting the wall. The full size comparison is in our 8 kg washing machine guide.
One more thing worth knowing: most new machines weigh the load at the start of the program (ProSense on AEG, AI DD on LG, ActiveWater Plus on Bosch) and cut time and water when the drum is not full. That reduces the downside of a slightly oversized machine but does not eliminate it. On the other hand, a machine that is too small means more cycles, and every extra cycle is more electricity, water and wear. If you are between two sizes, the larger one is usually better, as long as it fits the niche.
Energy labels in Israel: why the same machine shows A+++ and D
Since September 1, 2022 Israel has been moving to the European energy standard and label, but the old regulations were not repealed, so stores show ratings under the old and new systems side by side.
On the new European label for washing machines (in force in Europe since March 1, 2021) the scale is A to G, with no pluses. The requirements are stricter, so a machine that was A+++ under the old system can get C or D under the new one without anything changing. Calcalist reported in 2023 on consumer complaints about exactly this gap, and the Ministry of Energy defined the period as a transition in which both systems apply in parallel.
What to do in practice:
- Compare electricity use in kWh per 100 cycles on the Eco 40-60 program, not just the letter.
- Compare water use in liters per cycle.
- Also check the spin-drying efficiency class (A–G) and the noise in decibels on the label.
- If the product page says "previous energy rating", it is the old system.
According to the Standards Institution of Israel, every washing machine imported into Israel must meet official standard SI 900 part 2.7 and carry an energy label with the manufacturer, model, capacity and electricity and water consumption. An efficient 9 kg machine uses about 44–50 kWh per 100 cycles per the spec, i.e. about 80–90 kWh a year, roughly ₪50–60 of electricity for a family running 3–4 Eco cycles a week. The bill difference between A and C is small; the difference between the programs you choose (60°C vs 30°C) is bigger.
Practical store tip: if the salesperson says "A+++" and another page says "C", do not assume one of them is wrong. Ask for the label itself or the registration number in the European database (EPREL), and check the two numbers that matter: kWh per 100 cycles and liters per cycle. If two machines of similar capacity differ by less than 10 kWh per 100 cycles, the annual electricity difference will be a few dozen shekels, and factors like service and noise matter more.
Official importer or parallel import: why it matters for a washing machine
For a washing machine, buy a model from the official importer, because a fault in the first year almost always requires a technician at home, and the official importer's service determines how fast that happens.
In Israel the official importer of Bosch and Siemens is BSH; LG price lists show Brimag Digital as the warranty provider; for Samsung, sellers list Samsung Israel or Newpro. A practical tell: Bosch models from the official importer usually have an IL suffix in the code (for example WAN28278IL, WGG244Z9IL). Models with other suffixes are sometimes sold as parallel imports, and then the warranty is the seller's.
Parallel import is fully legal and sometimes ₪200–400 cheaper, but check:
- Who provides the warranty and for how long (the law requires a warranty, but who carries it out makes a big difference).
- Whether there is a lab and technicians nationwide, or only in the center of the country.
- Whether spare parts for this model are available in Israel.
- Whether there is a Hebrew manual and an Israeli plug, as the Standards Institution recommends checking.
Some importers add extended warranty in promotions. For example, BSH advertised a Siemens promotion of 4 extra warranty years for ₪199 during a set period, subject to installation within 30 days. Such promotions change, so ask for the terms before buying. Brand-specific details are in our Bosch washing machine and LG washing machine guides.
Limescale, hard water and maintenance that extends machine life
Water in most of Israel is hard, so limescale on the heating element and in the pump is one of the most common causes of faults; simple monthly maintenance prevents most problems.
What to do:
- Once a month, run a drum-clean program (DrumClean on Bosch, Tub Clean on LG) or an empty cycle at 60–90°C.
- Clean the pump filter every 1–2 months. It is usually behind a small cover at the bottom front.
- Leave the door and detergent drawer open after washing to prevent odor and mold in the rubber seal.
- Do not overdo the powder. The Standards Institution notes that excess powder leaves white marks.
- Wash at 30–40°C most of the time. Hot washes increase limescale buildup and electricity use.
On machines with a coated heating element (for example Platinum on Electrolux) or water sensors the problem is milder, but it does not go away. If your area has especially hard water, consider a whole-house filter or water softener; that is a plumber's decision, not the washing machine's. The same principle applies to dishwashers; see our best dishwasher guide.
Warning signs not to ignore: water left in the drum at the end of the program (usually a clogged filter), strong vibration during spin (unbalanced load, unleveled feet or transit bolts not removed), musty smell (seal and drawer not aired out), and an error code on the display. Most LG models have Smart Diagnosis via smartphone, and Bosch error codes are detailed in the manual. If the machine is under warranty, do not open it yourself beyond cleaning the filter, as that may void the warranty. Photograph the error code and contact the importer's service center.
Installation, delivery and electricity: what to check before it arrives
A standard washing machine plugs into a regular 16 A outlet, a cold water tap and a drain, but check dimensions, access and removal of the old machine in advance.
Checklist before ordering:
- Dimensions: most machines are 60 cm wide and 85 cm high. Depth varies from about 47 to 65 cm.
- Access: measure doors, stairs and the elevator. The Standards Institution explicitly recommends measuring the openings in your home.
- Electricity: a washing machine draws up to about 2,000–2,300 W while heating. If a dryer and washer run together on the same 16 A circuit (about 3,680 W), the breaker may trip, especially with a condenser dryer of about 2,800 W. (Israel runs on 230V/50Hz, so a US 110V machine would need a transformer.)
- Water and drain: an accessible tap and a drain hose that does not kink.
- Delivery: most stores deliver free, and the delivery times we saw ranged from 3 to 10 business days.
- Installation: with most importers, home installation is not mandatory for a washing machine, but extended-warranty promotions sometimes require activation or registration within a set time.
- Transit bolts: they must be removed before the first run. Otherwise the machine will shake and get damaged.
If you are also planning a dryer, read our best dryer guide, especially the difference in electricity use between a condenser dryer and a heat pump.
Two more things people tend to forget: a level floor and removing the old machine. A machine standing crooked shakes during spin and wears faster, so adjust the feet with a level after installation. As for removal, some stores offer to take the old machine on delivery, sometimes for an extra fee; ask when you order, not on delivery day. If the machine goes into a cabinet or closed niche, the Standards Institution recommends making sure it has flood protection.
Bosch, LG or Samsung: brands and features worth paying for
There is no single "best" brand; the main differences are importer service, motor and features, and the price of the specific model.
- Bosch: the most models at the top of comparison pages. Series 4 (WAN) is the base, Series 6 (WGG) adds quiet running and AntiStain, and Series 8 (WAW) is premium. Official importer: BSH. Full guide: Bosch washing machine.
- LG: Inverter Direct Drive motor, steam and AI DD even on base models, plus Slim versions about 47.5 cm deep. Full guide: LG washing machine.
- Samsung: auto-dosing, Wi-Fi and EcoBubble on mid-range models, and large washer dryers with a heat pump.
- AEG and Electrolux: ProSense and SensiCare, which weigh the load, plus most of the top-load models on the market.
- Miele: high price, heavy build, made in Germany according to some sellers.
Before choosing a brand, check who services your area. Outside the center of the country (the periphery), the difference in technician arrival times matters more than any feature.
Which features are worth the extra money? Based on daily use, these pay for themselves:
- A 14–30 minute quick program for small, lightly soiled loads. On almost every model in this guide.
- Adding laundry after the program starts (Reload on Bosch Series 6, Add Item on LG, AddWash on Samsung).
- Steam or Iron Assist, which reduce wrinkles and shorten ironing.
- Auto-dosing, which saves detergent and prevents excess powder. Found on the Samsung WW90DG6U95LK and the LG WF13314WBC.
Features that matter less: the number of programs (most of us use 3–4), fancy touch screens and Wi-Fi if you do not need notifications. Better to put the difference into capacity or warranty.
The bottom line
Recommended capacity: 8 kg for a couple/3 people, 9–10 kg for a family. Spin speed: 1,200–1,400 RPM.

FAQ: best washing machine in Israel
What is the best washing machine to buy in Israel in 2026?
No single model suits everyone. Based on specs and prices, an 8–9 kg front loader with 1,400 RPM and an inverter motor from an official importer, such as the Bosch WAN28278IL or LG WF9014WB, gives the best value for most families. A large family is better off with 10 kg.
How much does a good washing machine cost in Israel?
Per store prices in November 2026, a good 8–9 kg machine costs about ₪1,850–3,000 (NIS). Entry models start around ₪1,600, and premium models with auto-dosing or a brand like Miele cost ₪3,300–7,000.
What size washing machine does a family of 4 need?
8–9 kg is enough for a family of 4. If you wash every day or wash comforters at home, 9–10 kg gives headroom. The price gap between 8 and 9 kg is usually ₪100–300.
Is 1,400 RPM really better than 1,200?
1,400 RPM leaves less water in the clothes, so tumble drying is faster and cheaper. If you line-dry, 1,200 RPM is completely fine. The Standards Institution of Israel notes that a fast spin before the dryer saves energy but is noisier.
Why does the same machine say A+++ in one place and C in another?
Israel is moving to the new European energy label (A–G), and the old regulations have not been repealed yet. A+++ is a rating under the old system; C can be the same machine under the new one. Compare kWh per 100 cycles.
What is the difference between official importer and parallel import for a washing machine?
With the official importer (yevuan rasmi), warranty and service come from the importer (for example BSH for Bosch). With parallel import (yevu makbil), the warranty is the seller's, and there are sometimes fewer technicians and spare parts. The price difference is usually a few hundred shekels, and for an appliance that needs a technician at home it is worth paying.
Top-load or front-load washing machine?
A front loader gives more capacity and spin, and you can stack a dryer on it. A top loader fits when width is limited to about 40 cm or bending is hard, but it is not cheaper and is usually limited to 6–7 kg.
How long does a washing machine last?
There is no single official figure; lifespan depends on use, limescale and maintenance. What you can check in advance is the warranty: at least one full year, and sometimes longer coverage on the motor per the importer's warranty certificate.
Can a washing machine and dryer share the same outlet?
It is not recommended to run them together on the same 16 A circuit. A washing machine draws up to about 2,300 W while heating and a condenser dryer about 2,800 W; together they exceed the circuit's roughly 3,680 W. A heat pump dryer uses much less.
Is a washing machine with Wi-Fi worth it?
Wi-Fi is handy for end-of-cycle alerts and downloading programs, but it does not improve washing quality. If the price difference is a few hundred shekels, better to invest in capacity, motor or warranty.
