Miele Washing Machine in Israel: Is It Worth the Price? (2026)

Updated November 6, 2026. Written by Binyamin Elkalay. Compared on specs and Israeli shop prices, no lab testing.

A Miele washing machine costs ⁦1.5–3⁩ times as much in Israel as a regular machine of the same capacity: per store prices in November 2026, 8 kg models start at about ₪⁦3,380–3,800⁩ (NIS), and 9 kg models with PowerWash and Wi-Fi reach ₪⁦5,200–11,000.⁩ What you get for the extra money, per the spec: a Honeycomb drum, ProfiEco motor, CapDosing, a self-cleaning detergent drawer and heavy build. What you do not get: more capacity or a stronger spin.

We did not test the machines physically, and we have no independent data on their lifespan. This guide is based on specs published by Miele and stores, price ranges we saw on Israeli price comparison pages (about 140 Miele models), and what sellers write about importer and country of manufacture. Below: the models, what each feature does, why prices are so scattered and when Miele is really worth it.

What to look at before buying

What to checkWhat it isOur recommendation
Model, not just brandIsraeli comparison pages list about 140 Miele models, many of them old or almost identical versions.Focus on models sold in more than 15 stores (WWD120, WCD020, WWD020 WCS, WSD164WCS) to get a reliable price range.
Price rangeOn the same model we saw gaps of up to ₪3,000 between stores.Compare at least 5 stores, and ask whether the machine is new, a display unit or refurbished, and who provides the warranty.
Importer and warrantySeveral sellers list Electra as the official importer; others list other importers or distributors.Ask for the warranty provider's name and warranty length on the invoice. On a ₪4,000+ machine this is the most important detail.
DepthMiele machines are deeper than average per the specs sellers publish.WCD020 about ⁦63.6 cm⁩, WWD120 and WWD020 WCS about ⁦64.3 cm⁩. Add ⁦5–⁦10 cm⁩⁩ for the tap and hoses.
DosingCapDosing uses Miele capsules for additives and softener; expensive models have TwinDos for automatic dosing of liquid detergent. The models we checked mention CapDosing only. If full auto-dosing matters to you, check the spec for TwinDos.
Quick programsQuickPowerWash and PowerWash appear on mid-range and premium models.Anyone washing every day will benefit from QuickPowerWash; for a couple, Express 20 on the entry models is enough.

Is a Miele washing machine worth the price?

A Miele washing machine is worth the price mainly for people who wash a lot, plan to keep the machine for many years and are willing to pay for heavy build and convenience features; if you mainly want clean laundry, a good ₪2,000 machine does the job.

Per store prices in November 2026, an 8 kg Miele starts at about ₪3,380 (WWD120) and about ₪3,590 (WCD020). For comparison, the 9 kg Bosch WGG244Z9IL from Series 6 starts at about ₪2,850, and the 8 kg AEG LF61842BM at about ₪1,950. In other words, with Miele you pay about ₪⁦1,000–1,500⁩ more for a smaller machine.

What are you paying for? Per the specs sellers publish:

  • A Honeycomb drum, which Miele presents as gentler on clothes.
  • A ProfiEco motor, described as efficient and wear-free.
  • CapDosing, Miele's dosing capsules for additives.
  • An AutoClean detergent drawer that cleans itself.
  • Code child lock and water system monitoring.

What do you not get? More capacity (most models are ⁦7–9⁩ kg), a stronger spin (1,400 RPM, like cheap machines), or a clearly better energy rating. Several models are listed as class A under the previous system, and some sellers list a different rating under the new standard.

The common claim about Miele is longevity. We have no independent data that confirms or refutes it, and we do not rely on reviews. What you can check in advance is the warranty: who provides it, for how long, and service times in your area. If you are torn between Miele and Bosch, see our best washing machine and Bosch washing machine guides.

A simple calculation that helps decide: if a ₪2,000 machine lasts 8 years, it costs about ₪250 a year. For a ₪3,800 Miele to be equally worthwhile, it needs to last about 15 years without expensive repairs. That is possible, but nobody can guarantee it in advance.

Miele models in Israel: what sells and for how much

Comparison pages list about 140 Miele washing models, but most sales are concentrated in five or six ⁦7–9⁩ kg models.

Per store prices in November 2026:

  • 7 kg: WEA0251 WCS Active (about ₪⁦3,390–4,790⁩), WSA0235 (from about ₪3,170), WCA 0309 WCS Active (from about ₪3,990). Details in our 7 kg washing machine guide.
  • 8 kg, entry: WWD120 (about ₪⁦3,380–6,990⁩), WCD020 (about ₪⁦3,590–6,900⁩), WSD023 WCS and WSD123 (from about ₪3,690).
  • 8 kg, mid-range: WWD020 WCS (about ₪⁦3,790–5,990⁩), WWD320 WCS PWash (from about ₪4,300), WED125 WCS and WEA125 WCS (from about ₪⁦4,400–4,850⁩).
  • 9 kg: WSD164WCS (about ₪⁦5,200–7,500⁩), WED 164 WCS (from about ₪6,400), WWG 660 WCS (from about ₪6,570), WWD 380 WCS (from about ₪7,100), WWG 360 (about ₪⁦7,980–10,990⁩).
  • Washer dryer: WTD163 WCS, 8 kg wash and 5 kg dry, from about ₪9,700.

Almost all models spin at 1,400 RPM; only the washer dryer reaches 1,500.

How to choose? Among the entry models, the WWD120 and WCD020 are very close in spec. The main difference we saw is in programs (the WCD020 has an easy-iron program) and the price that week. Among the 9 kg models, the WSD164WCS gives the basics with Miele@home, and the WWG and WWD 380 models add PowerWash and AddLoad.

Watch out for nearly identical names: WSD123 and WSD123 WCS, or WWB360 WCS and WWB 360 WCS, appear as separate models on comparison pages with similar prices. Make sure the code on the invoice matches the code you checked.

Tip: many Miele models on comparison pages also have offers for display or used machines. They can be an opportunity, but their warranty is different, and sometimes it is only a one-year store warranty.

If you are not sure where to start, the WCD020 and WWD120 are the sensible entry point: the most stores, the lowest price, and a spec covering most of what Miele is known for.

What you get with Miele: the features in plain language

Most Miele features concern gentleness on clothes, keeping the machine itself clean and convenience; they do not make laundry dramatically cleaner than another good machine.

Per the specs sellers publish:

  • Honeycomb drum: drum walls with a honeycomb pattern, which sellers present as gentler on clothes.
  • ProfiEco: a brushless motor, like other brands' inverter motors, described as efficient and wear-free.
  • CapDosing: Miele capsules for softener, additives or special products (for example for wool or sportswear). Convenient, but you have to buy the capsules.
  • TwinDos: automatic dosing of liquid detergent from two tanks. Not mentioned on the models we checked, so confirm in the spec if it matters to you.
  • AutoClean: a detergent drawer that cleans itself. Per Miele's manual you still need to clean the drawer occasionally.
  • QuickPowerWash and PowerWash: quick programs combining strong wetting and special drum movements.
  • SingleWash: a program for single items, for example one shirt you need for tomorrow.
  • AddLoad: adding laundry after the program starts.
  • Miele@home: app connectivity, notifications and remote start.
  • DirectSensor: touch panel with display.
  • Express 20: a 20-minute program for a small, lightly soiled load.

Which features are worth money? For a family that washes every day, QuickPowerWash and AddLoad save real time. If you wash expensive wool, silk or sportswear, the Honeycomb drum and CapDosing may be a consideration. For a couple washing 3 times a week, the entry model with Express 20 is enough.

As for noise: per one seller, the Miele WWG 360 reaches ⁦48 dB⁩ washing, and the WEA0251 about ⁦50 dB⁩ washing and 72 spinning. These are quiet figures, but similar to Bosch Series 6 (about ⁦50 dB⁩). If quiet is your main reason, compare the numbers, not just the brand.

Importer, country of manufacture and why prices are so scattered

Several Miele sellers on comparison pages list Electra as the official importer, and price gaps between stores on the same model reach ₪3,000; so it is important to find out exactly what you are buying.

What we saw in November 2026:

  • WCD020, WWD020 WCS and WSD164WCS: several sellers write "official importer Electra".
  • WCD020 and WSD164WCS: one seller lists Electronica Raybi and a one-year warranty.
  • WEA0251: one seller lists official importer Electra, on a display or refurbished unit with a one-year warranty.
  • WWD120: the importer's name does not appear on the page.

Why the gaps? On the WWD120 page we saw prices from about ₪3,380 to about ₪6,990. A gap like that usually comes from several factors: stores selling at list price vs stores on promotion, official import vs other distributors, and new machines vs display or refurbished ones. Before choosing the cheapest offer, ask:

  • Is the machine new in the box?
  • Who provides the warranty, and for how long?
  • Is there a Hebrew manual and an Israeli plug?

As for country of manufacture: on the WWD120 page two sellers write made in Germany, as do several sellers of the WWG 360 and WWD020 WCS. On the WCD020 page one seller writes Germany and another Poland. These are seller statements, and we found no official figure for each model. If it matters to you, ask to see the sticker on the box before paying.

An interesting fact: if Electra is indeed Miele's importer, the same company also markets cheap washing machines under its own name. See our Electra washing machine guide. The difference between the two families is like two ends of the market, not like two models of the same brand.

Miele vs Bosch Series 6, AEG and LG: when to choose which

If your budget is ₪⁦3,000–4,000,⁩ you have three very different options: an 8 kg Miele, a fully loaded ⁦9–10⁩ kg Bosch or AEG, or a 13 kg LG with auto-dosing.

Comparison by the specs and prices we saw:

  • Miele WWD120 or WCD020: 8 kg, 1,400 RPM, Honeycomb drum, about ₪⁦3,380–3,800⁩ at the low end.
  • Bosch WGG244Z9IL: 9 kg, 1,400 RPM, ⁦50 dB⁩, Reload and AntiStain, about ₪⁦2,850–3,590,⁩ BSH warranty.
  • AEG LF73944BM: 9 kg, ProSteam, about ₪⁦2,770–3,190.⁩ And the 10 kg LF85066QM with AutoDose and 1,600 RPM, about ₪⁦4,340–4,900.⁩ See our Electrolux and AEG washing machine guide.
  • LG WF13314WBC: 13 kg with auto-dosing and Wi-Fi, about ₪⁦3,000–4,570.⁩ See our LG washing machine guide.

When Miele? When a brand considered durable, a gentle drum and a self-cleaning drawer matter to you, and 8 kg is enough. When Bosch or AEG? When you want more capacity, more stain programs and steam, and a known importer's warranty at a lower price. When LG? When capacity is the main thing.

Bottom line: the difference in wash quality itself between a ₪3,500 machine and a ₪2,800 machine is small. The big difference is in convenience, build feel and warranty. Decide by what matters to you, not by brand name alone.

If you do choose Miele, think about a dryer from the same brand too. Miele sells heat pump dryers, and per comparison pages they are also expensive. If your budget is limited, a Miele washer with another brand's heat pump dryer is a reasonable combination. See our best dryer guide.

How to buy a Miele without overpaying

With Miele, more than with any other brand, the price you pay depends on the store and timing; the same model can cost ₪3,400 or ₪6,900.

Some rules that emerge from the comparison pages:

  • Compare at least ⁦5–6⁩ stores. The best-selling Miele models have ⁦17–25⁩ stores each, and only a small share sell at the low price.
  • Check what is included: delivery, carrying it in, installation and removal. A ₪300 price difference can disappear with a delivery charge.
  • Watch for offers on display, surplus or refurbished machines. On Miele pages we saw some with a one-year store warranty. They can be an opportunity, but it is not the same deal as a new machine with importer warranty.
  • Eilat store offers sometimes appear below the minimum price, but they are for purchase in a store there and without VAT, and are not relevant to most buyers.
  • If you are not in a hurry, track the model for a few weeks. During promotion periods, like year end and holidays, the gap between Miele and other brands sometimes narrows.

Another way to save: choose the entry model. The difference between the WWD120 or WCD020 and the more expensive WWD and WSD models is mainly in programs and convenience (QuickPowerWash, steam, app), not in the drum or motor. If you want Miele for the build and the drum, the entry model gives you most of what you are looking for.

And second-hand? Used Miele machines sometimes sell at low prices, on the claim that they last for years. There is no way to know in advance how many years a used machine has left, and it usually has no warranty. The full considerations are in our cheap washing machine guide.

Dimensions, consumption and electricity

Miele machines are as wide and tall as any machine, 59.6 by ⁦85 cm⁩, but deeper than average: about ⁦63.6–⁦64.3 cm⁩⁩ per the specs sellers publish.

Dimensions per sellers:

  • WCD020 and WSD164WCS: 85×59.6×⁦63.6 cm⁩.
  • WWD120 and WWD020 WCS: 85×59.6×⁦64.3 cm⁩.
  • WWG 360: 85×59.6×⁦64.3 cm⁩.
  • WEA0251 WCS Active: 85×59.6×⁦63.6 cm⁩.

That is about ⁦6–⁦7 cm⁩⁩ deeper than a regular 9 kg machine (about ⁦56.5 cm⁩) and about ⁦16 cm⁩ deeper than a Slim machine (about ⁦47.5 cm⁩). In a shallow niche a Miele simply will not fit, so measure before anything else.

Consumption: per sellers, the WWD020 WCS uses about ⁦47 kWh⁩ per 100 cycles and about 47 liters per cycle. That is low, similar to efficient ⁦8–9⁩ kg Bosch and LG models. The WWD120 lists annual consumption of ⁦177 kWh⁩, under the previous label method which assumes more cycles a year, so it cannot be compared directly with the per-100-cycles figure. Israel's move to the European label is explained in our best washing machine guide.

Electricity: per one seller, the WWD120 draws ⁦2,100–⁦2,400 W⁩⁩ while heating. If a condenser dryer runs at the same time on the same 16 A circuit, the breaker may trip. A heat pump dryer uses about ⁦600 W⁩ and solves this. See also our condenser dryer guide.

Weight and delivery: Miele machines are considered heavy. Ask the store about delivery to your floor, removing the transit bolts and taking away the old machine.

Maintenance per Miele's manual

In its user manuals Miele recommends running a high-temperature maintenance program from time to time and cleaning the detergent drawer regularly, even on models with automatic dosing.

Per a Miele user manual we read:

  • Washing at low temperatures and using liquid detergent can cause bacteria and odors to build up. Miele recommends running the Maintenance program regularly or when the display prompts, or a program at 75°C or higher.
  • The detergent drawer should be cleaned at regular intervals for hygiene, even when you only use TwinDos: pull it out, press the release button and rinse with hot water.
  • The drum can be cleaned with a dedicated stainless steel cleaner.
  • The machine body is cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild product, after unplugging it. Do not hose the machine down, and do not use solvents, abrasives or glass cleaners.

With Israel's hard water, add the general habits: a clean pump filter, the door and drawer left open to air after washing, and the right amount of powder. What different manufacturers say about vinegar, baking soda and descalers, and how to clean each part of the machine, is detailed in our washing machine cleaning guide.

On a machine that cost ₪4,000 or more, do not open internal parts yourself during the warranty. If an error message appears, photograph it and contact the warranty provider's service center.

The bottom line

8 kg: about ₪⁦3,380–6,990⁩ depending on model and store. 9 kg: about ₪⁦5,200–11,000.⁩

FAQ: Miele washing machine Israel

How much does a Miele washing machine cost in Israel?

Per store prices in November 2026, ⁦7–8⁩ kg models start at about ₪⁦3,200–3,800,⁩ 9 kg models at about ₪5,200, and premium models like the WWG 360 reach about ₪⁦8,000–11,000.⁩ On the same model there are gaps of thousands of shekels between stores.

Who is Miele's importer in Israel?

On product pages several sellers list Electra as Miele's official importer, and one seller lists Electronica Raybi. We have not verified this with Miele itself; ask for the warranty provider's name on the invoice.

Are Miele washing machines made in Germany?

Per some sellers, models like the WWD120, WWD020 WCS and WWG 360 are made in Germany. On the WCD020 one seller writes Germany and another Poland. If it matters to you, check the sticker on the box.

Why is Miele so expensive?

Per the spec, you pay for the Honeycomb drum, ProfiEco motor, a self-cleaning drawer, CapDosing and heavy build, and on expensive models also PowerWash, AddLoad and Wi-Fi. You do not pay for more capacity or a stronger spin.

Miele or Bosch?

The 9 kg Bosch WGG244Z9IL from Series 6 starts at about ₪2,850 with ⁦50 dB⁩, Reload, AntiStain and BSH warranty. An 8 kg Miele starts at about ₪3,380. If capacity and price matter more, Bosch; if a gentle drum and the brand matter more, Miele.

What is CapDosing?

A Miele system where you insert a dedicated capsule into a compartment in the drawer, and the machine releases it at the right time in the program. It is used for softener, additives and products for special fabrics, and requires buying Miele capsules.

How deep is a Miele washing machine?

Per sellers, about ⁦63.6 cm⁩ on the WCD020 and WSD164WCS, and about ⁦64.3 cm⁩ on the WWD120, WWD020 WCS and WWG 360. That is about ⁦6–⁦7 cm⁩⁩ deeper than a regular 9 kg machine, so measure the niche.

Should I buy a display or used Miele?

It can save thousands of shekels, but the warranty is different: on comparison pages we saw display machines with a one-year store warranty only. Check who provides the warranty and the machine's condition. Second-hand considerations are detailed in our cheap washing machine guide.

How do you clean a Miele washing machine?

Per Miele's manual, run the Maintenance program or a program at 75°C or higher regularly, and clean the detergent drawer in hot water at regular intervals, even with automatic dosing. Wipe the body with a mild product, without solvents.
