Electrolux and AEG Washing Machines in Israel: How to Choose a Model (2026)
Electrolux and AEG belong to the same group: Electrolux is the mainstream line, and AEG the pricier line with more technology. Per store prices in November 2026, an 8–10 kg Electrolux washing machine costs about ₪1,470–2,990 (NIS), and an 8–10 kg AEG about ₪1,950–4,900. Both are especially strong in top-load machines, where they hold most of the range in Israel.
We did not test the machines physically. This guide is based on specs published by manufacturers and stores, price ranges we saw on Israeli price comparison pages (about 170 Electrolux models and about 85 AEG), and what sellers write about importer and warranty. Below: the series, the technologies, recommended models and what to check before buying.
The short answer
Washing machine, November 2026- about ₪1,470–2,990
- about ₪1,950–4,900
- about ₪1,600–2,900, most of the market's range
- Load sensing: SensiCare / ProSense
- Not verified; check the name on the invoice
- Machine Clean / Tub Clean once a month
Models worth checking
Picked on specs, Israeli importer warranty and shop prices in Israel in November 2026. We did not test them at home. Prices change, check before you buy.
EW6F4842AB
8 kg, 1,400 RPM, A+++ (previous rating), 34 cm XXL door, SensiCare, TimeSave
Why: Per store prices it starts at about ₪1,490, one of the cheapest big-brand machines at 8 kg and 1,400 RPM, with a wide door and load sensing.
Watch out: Some offers are parallel imports per sellers; check who provides the warranty. No new-label rating on the page.
EN6F3149FXM
10 kg, 1,400 RPM, class A per one seller, 53 dB washing, 60×85×63.1 cm, Machine Clean, 34 cm door
Why: Per the spec in stores, 53 dB washing, SensiCare and TimeManager, and a self-clean program at 60°C, at a price starting around ₪1,790.
Watch out: About 63 cm deep, more than most 10 kg machines; check the niche. The new-standard rating appears at one seller only.
LF73944BM
9 kg, 1,400 RPM, class A (previous rating), ProSteam, PreciseWash, ÖKOInverter motor, made in Italy per sellers
Why: Per the spec it is a 7000 series machine with ProSteam for refreshing clothes, a 69-minute MixLoad program and a CareDrum. One seller lists Mini Line as the importer.
Watch out: About ₪800 more than the 8 kg AEG LF61842BM; if you do not need steam, the 6000 series is enough.
LF85066QM
10 kg, up to 1,600 RPM, class A, AutoDose, PowerCare, ProSteam, app control, made in Italy per sellers
Why: Per the spec it has automatic detergent and softener dosing, PowerCare that dissolves the detergent before it enters the drum, and a spin of up to 1,600 RPM that shortens drying.
Watch out: One of the most expensive 10 kg machines; the importer's name is not on the page. Without a dryer, the 1,600 RPM matters less.
EW5T7612AM
Top load, 6 kg, 1,200 RPM, about 40×91×61 cm per a seller, AutoSense, Platinum heating element
Why: Per the spec it is a 40 cm wide top loader, with AutoSense that adapts the program to the load, sold in about 29 stores. Several sellers list Mini Line as the importer.
Watch out: Only 6 kg and class D under the previous system at most sellers; it uses more than a front loader.
Prices in Israel: Washing machine
Electrolux 7–10 kg (like the EW6F4842AB, EWF7028M6WA, EN6F3149FXM): inverter motor and load sensing; you give up steam and auto-dosing.
AEG 8–10 kg from the 6000–7000 series (LF61842BM, LF61144BM, LF73944BM): ProSense, and on the 7000 series ProSteam too.
AEG 8000 and 12 kg Electrolux with AutoDose and Wi-Fi (LF85066QM, EWF1242R9SC): for families who wash every day.
Price ranges seen in Israeli shops and price-comparison sites in November 2026, VAT included, usually without installation.
What to look at before buying
| What to check | What it is | Our recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Brand and series | Electrolux marks series with numbers like 600 and 700 (EW6, EW7), and AEG with 6000, 7000, 8000 series (LF6, LF7, LF8). | On Electrolux, the 600 is enough for most homes. On AEG, the 6000 gives the basics and the 7000 adds steam; the 8000 only if you want AutoDose. |
| Load sensing | SensiCare on Electrolux and ProSense or PreciseWash on AEG weigh the laundry and cut time and water. | Found on almost every model. On a 10 kg+ machine it is a must, because most loads are partial. |
| Steam | SteamCare on Electrolux and ProSteam on AEG refresh clothes and reduce wrinkles. | Worth up to about ₪500 extra if you iron a lot. The AEG LF73944BM is an example of a 7000 series with ProSteam. |
| Auto-dosing | AutoDose draws detergent and softener from an internal tank according to the load. | Only on expensive models (LF85066QM, EWF1242R9SC). Worth it for a family that washes almost every day. |
| Door and depth | On some models the door opening is extra wide, about 34 cm, and some are deeper than average. | The Electrolux EN6F3149FXM is about 63 cm deep per the spec, the AEG LF61144BM about 57.5. Measure the niche before ordering. |
| Importer and warranty | The importer's name does not appear on every offer; one seller lists Mini Line, and one lists a parallel importer. | Ask for the warranty provider's name and warranty length on the invoice. On an especially cheap offer, make sure it is not a seller-only warranty. |
Electrolux or AEG: what is the difference?
Electrolux and AEG are two brands of the same group; the main difference is the price tag and the amount of technology in each model, not basic wash quality.
Per store prices in November 2026:
- A 7–10 kg Electrolux front loader starts at about ₪1,470–1,800, and 11–12 kg models with AutoDose reach about ₪4,250.
- An 8–10 kg AEG starts at about ₪1,950 in the 6000 series and reaches about ₪4,900 in the 8000 series.
What do they share? Both brands use load sensing (SensiCare on Electrolux, ProSense and PreciseWash on AEG), brushless inverter motors, and steam programs on mid-range models. Both also have a drum self-clean program.
What is different?
- At the higher levels AEG adds technologies like PowerCare (dissolving detergent before the drum), AutoDose and the CareDrum, and per sellers some models are made in Italy.
- Electrolux focuses on price: 8 and 10 kg machines with 1,400 RPM at prices that compete with Samsung and Midea.
Who is each one for? If you are looking for a good basic machine, Electrolux gives most of the benefit. If you want steam, a 1,600 RPM spin or auto-dosing, AEG is the place. The comparison with Bosch, LG and Samsung is in our best washing machine guide.
Israeli comparison pages list about 170 Electrolux washing models and about 85 AEG, far more than are actually sold. Many are old models or versions sold in a single store. Focus on models sold in more than 15 stores; those are usually the current models, with a more reliable price range.
By the way, the search for "AEG washing machine" is almost as common in Israel as Electrolux. In most cases people searching for AEG are looking for a quiet, quality machine at a lower price than Bosch Series 6 and Miele. That is exactly where the 6000 and 7000 series sit.
In one line: Electrolux for budget, AEG for quiet and extras.
Series and technologies: how to read the code
The Electrolux and AEG code hides the series and capacity; as a rule, the higher the first digit after the letters, the better equipped the model.
On Electrolux:
- EW6F, EA6F, EN6F: 600 series front load. The base, with SensiCare.
- EW7F: 700 series, usually with SteamCare.
- EW5T, EW6T: top load, 500 and 600 series.
- EWF and EWW on new models: EWF is a washing machine, EWW a washer dryer (for example the EWW1242R9MC with 12 kg wash and 9 kg dry).
On AEG:
- LF6: 6000 series, ProSense. For example the LF61842BM (8 kg) and LF61144BM (10 kg).
- LF7: 7000 series, adds ProSteam. For example the LF73944BM.
- LF8 and LF9: 8000–9000 series with AutoDose and PowerCare. For example the LF85066QM.
- LTX: top load. For example the LTX6G7211AM (7 kg).
- LWN: washer dryers.
The recurring technologies, per the specs sellers publish:
- SensiCare / ProSense / PreciseWash: load sensing that adjusts time, water and energy.
- TimeManager / TimeSave: shortens the program, per sellers by up to 70% on some models.
- SteamCare / ProSteam: steam for refreshing and reducing wrinkles.
- AutoDose: automatic dosing of detergent and softener.
- PowerCare: dissolves the detergent in water before it enters the drum.
- Machine Clean / Tub Clean: a drum self-clean program, at 60°C per one seller.
- Woolmark Blue: certification of the wool program on some models.
Tip: the same model sometimes appears with a different suffix (for example LF61842BM and LF61844BM). The difference may be the color, the display or one program. Check the full spec before paying more for a different suffix.
Electrolux washing machines: which models to check
On Electrolux, four models cover most needs: the EWF7028M6WA (7 kg), EW6F4842AB (8 kg), EN6F3149FXM (10 kg) and EWF1242R9SC (12 kg).
Per the specs and prices on comparison pages:
- Electrolux EWF7028M6WA: 7 kg, 1,200 RPM, class A on the new standard, inverter motor, SensiCare. About ₪1,570–1,990. Details in our 7 kg washing machine guide.
- Electrolux EW6F4842AB: 8 kg, 1,400 RPM, 34 cm door, A+++ under the previous system. About ₪1,490–2,750.
- Electrolux EA6F5824CXM: 8 kg, 1,200 RPM, from about ₪1,490. The EA6F4827CXM (PerfectCare) from about ₪1,780.
- Electrolux EN6F3149FXM: 10 kg, 1,400 RPM, 53 dB washing, 60×85×63.1 cm. About ₪1,790–2,990.
- Electrolux EWF1023P5WC: 10 kg, 1,200 RPM, from about ₪2,230.
- Electrolux EWF1143R7WC: 11 kg, 1,400 RPM, from about ₪2,780.
- Electrolux EWF1242R9SC: 12 kg, AutoDose, SensorWash and Wi-Fi. About ₪3,590–4,250.
How to choose? For a couple, the EWF7028M6WA or EW6F4842AB. For a family of 4–5, the EN6F3149FXM gives 10 kg for under ₪2,000 at some sellers, but watch the depth of about 63 cm. For a large family that wants auto-dosing, the EWF1242R9SC. Large machines are compared in our 10 kg washing machine guide.
Electrolux is especially strong in the ₪1,500–2,000 price bracket. Other brands' machines at the same price are usually 8 kg Samsung and LG. The main difference vs LG is the motor type (LG with direct drive), and vs Samsung, EcoBubble. All three offer load sensing, an inverter motor and a quick program.
When comparing Electrolux models, watch the RPM: the same capacity sometimes comes in 1,200 and 1,400 RPM, with a small price difference. If you line-dry in winter, the 1,400 is worth it.
AEG washing machines: what you get in each series
On AEG, the 6000 series gives an efficient, quiet machine with ProSense; the 7000 series adds ProSteam; and the 8000 series adds AutoDose and PowerCare.
Per the specs and prices on comparison pages:
- AEG LF61842BM: 8 kg, 1,400 RPM, class A, Eco 40-60 about 0.79 kWh and 52 liters. About ₪1,950–2,580.
- AEG LF61144BM: 10 kg, 1,400 RPM, class A on the new standard, about 51 kWh per 100 cycles, 60×85×57.5 cm, made in Poland per one seller. About ₪2,340–3,290.
- AEG LF73944BM: 9 kg, ProSteam, PreciseWash, made in Italy per several sellers. About ₪2,770–3,190.
- AEG LF73946OM and LF73844BM: other 7000 versions of 9 and 8 kg, from about ₪2,700–2,900.
- AEG LF83964QM: 9 kg, 1,600 RPM, from about ₪3,700.
- AEG LF85066QM: 10 kg, up to 1,600 RPM, AutoDose, PowerCare, ProSteam and app control. About ₪4,340–4,900.
Which series is worth it? If you line-dry and do not iron much, the 6000 series gives most of the benefit. The LF61842BM is one of the efficient machines at an entry-level price, and it also appears in our best washing machine guide. If you have a dryer and want fewer wrinkles, the 7000 series with ProSteam. The 8000 series suits a family that washes every day and wants to stop measuring detergent.
On a 1,600 RPM spin: it removes more water from clothes and shortens tumble drying, but increases spin noise and can increase wrinkles on delicate clothes. Without a dryer, 1,400 RPM is completely enough.
Note that AEG comparison pages sometimes show an Eilat store offer below the minimum (for example about ₪3,890 for the LF85066QM). Eilat prices exclude VAT and are for purchase in a store there only.
And if you are considering an AEG washer dryer, like the LWN7E9612BM (9 kg wash and 6 kg dry, from about ₪3,500 per the comparison page), check the drying capacity against the washing capacity. The general comparison is in our washer dryer combo guide.
Top load: Electrolux and AEG's strong suit
If you do not have 60 cm of width, Electrolux and AEG are almost the only option for a big-brand top-load machine in Israel.
Per comparison pages in November 2026:
- Electrolux EW5T7612AM: 6 kg, 1,200 RPM, about 40×91×61 cm per one seller, AutoSense, Platinum heating element. About ₪1,600–2,200.
- Electrolux EW6T3733BM: 7 kg, 1,300 RPM, class C on the new standard. About ₪2,180–2,890.
- Electrolux EW6T4723AM: 7 kg, 1,200 RPM, from about ₪2,000.
- AEG LTX6G7211AM: 7 kg, 1,200 RPM, ProSense. About ₪2,070–2,890.
- AEG LTN8E7331EM: 7 kg, 1,300 RPM, from about ₪2,330.
Who is a top loader for? A narrow bathroom, a closet, a spot where a regular machine's door will not open, and anyone who finds bending hard. What you give up: capacity (6–7 kg), a lower energy rating, and no stacking a dryer on top. And it is not cheaper either: a 7 kg top loader costs as much as a 9–10 kg front loader.
Note the Platinum heating element sellers mention for the EW5T7612AM. It is described as a coated heating element meant to reduce limescale buildup, which is relevant to Israel's hard water. We did not find a figure quantifying the effect, and in any case it does not exempt you from drum cleaning.
A full comparison of top-load machines, including dimensions and energy labels, is in our top-load washing machine guide. If you are torn between a top loader and a slim front loader, see also our small washing machine guide.
Importer, parallel import and country of manufacture
We could not verify the official importer of Electrolux and AEG in Israel from an official source; product pages show different names, so it is important to ask for the warranty provider's name on the invoice.
What we saw on comparison pages in November 2026:
- Several sellers of the Electrolux EW5T7612AM and AEG LF73944BM list "Mini Line" as the official importer.
- One seller of the Electrolux EW6F4842AB lists "parallel importer".
- Many offers are marked "official importer" without a name, some with a store's extended VIP warranty.
- One seller lists a one-year warranty on the AEG LF73944BM.
What is the difference? With official import (yevu rasmi), warranty and service are the importer's, with a service center and parts for models sold in Israel. With parallel import (yevu makbil), the warranty is the seller's. That is legal, and sometimes ₪200–400 cheaper, but check that there are technicians in your area, parts for this model, a Hebrew manual and an Israeli plug.
As for country of manufacture: per some sellers, the AEG LF73944BM and LF85066QM are made in Italy, and the AEG LF61144BM in Poland. These are seller statements, not official data. If it matters to you, ask to see the sticker on the box.
The practical rule: before paying, get in writing the warranty provider's name, the warranty length and the service center phone number. If the seller cannot answer, find another seller. Comparison pages usually have 15–30 stores per selling model, so there is plenty of choice.
Another practical sign: check whether the model appears on the website of the importer the seller names, and whether it has a Hebrew manual. A model that does not appear there, or comes with a foreign-language manual only, is probably a parallel import. That does not rule it out, but it changes whom you will call when there is a fault, and how long the repair will take.
How to choose: four common scenarios
In most homes, the choice between Electrolux and AEG falls into one of four scenarios, and each has a model that fits per spec and price.
Scenario 1: a couple in a rental, budget up to ₪1,700. The Electrolux EWF7028M6WA (7 kg, class A on the new standard) or EW6F4842AB (8 kg, 1,400 RPM). Both with load sensing and an inverter motor. Make sure the warranty is the importer's and not just the seller's.
Scenario 2: a family of 4, line-drying, want quiet. The 8 kg AEG LF61842BM or a 9 kg from the 6000 series, for about ₪1,950–2,600. Eco program consumption is low per the spec, and ProSense shortens partial loads. Anyone preferring 9 kg with steam can move up to the LF73944BM.
Scenario 3: a family of 5–6 with a dryer. The 10 kg AEG LF61144BM if the budget is up to about ₪3,300, or the LF85066QM with 1,600 RPM and AutoDose if the budget is flexible. The strong spin shortens drying, and AutoDose saves measuring detergent for daily washing. You will find a matching dryer in our best dryer guide.
Scenario 4: a narrow bathroom without 60 cm of width. The Electrolux EW5T7612AM (6 kg) or EW6T3733BM (7 kg), or the AEG LTX6G7211AM (7 kg). Top loaders 40 cm wide, with a lower rating than front loaders.
In every scenario, check three things before ordering: the machine's depth vs the niche, the warranty provider's name on the invoice, and the price of an equivalent Bosch, LG or Samsung model that week. At November 2026 prices, the gaps between brands of similar size are often a few hundred shekels, and a weekly promotion can reverse the order.
And if two models look equal, choose the one sold in more stores: it is easier to find a deal and service.
Maintenance and electricity on Electrolux and AEG machines
Most machines from both brands include a self-clean program (Machine Clean or Tub Clean); run it once a month, and clean the filter every month or two.
Per the specs sellers publish:
- Electrolux EN6F3149FXM: Machine Clean, self-cleaning of the drum and body at 60°C.
- Electrolux EWF7028M6WA: Clean Tub.
- Electrolux EWF1242R9SC: Tub Clean for cleaning and disinfection.
- AEG LF61144BM and LF73944BM: self-clean program.
- Electrolux EW6F4842AB: front filter and anti-flood mechanism.
With Israel's hard water, limescale builds up on the heating element and in the pump. What helps: washing at 30–40°C most of the time, the right amount of powder (excess powder leaves white marks, per the Standards Institution of Israel), a monthly drum-clean program, and leaving the door and drawer open to air. The manufacturers' full instructions, including what they say about vinegar, are in our washing machine cleaning guide.
Electricity: a washing machine draws up to about 2,000–2,300 W while heating. If you run a condenser dryer of about 2,800 W at the same time on the same 16 A circuit, the breaker may trip. Heat pump dryers use about 600 W and solve the problem. Electrolux and AEG also make such dryers, like the Electrolux EW7H3863RBM; see our best dryer guide.
The bottom line
Electrolux 8–10 kg: about ₪1,470–2,990. AEG 8–10 kg: about ₪1,950–4,900.
