Electra Refrigerator: Models, Prices and Warranty
Short answer: Electra fridges are among the cheapest on the Israeli market for the capacity they give: per store prices, a 466-liter Electra 4-door costs about ₪2,800–3,500 (NIS), and a 600-liter one about ₪4,000–4,750. Many models include No Frost, a light switch or Shabbat mode certified by the Tzomet Institute, and an option for a 10-year compressor warranty for an extra fee and registration.
We did not test fridges physically. This guide is based on product pages in stores, Electra's model list on a price comparison site, and prices we saw in November 2026. Worth knowing: we saw most models mainly at chains linked to Electra, and for some we could not open a full spec page. In those cases we wrote what is known and what is not.

Electra EL522DN
4-door bottom freezer, 466 liters net (291 / 175), 79 × 180 × 73 cm, No Frost, class E, black stainless
Why: Per the product page, the Tzomet Institute certification for Shabbat and holidays covers the light, door sensor, compressor, fans and controls, and the importer is Electra Retail with an option for 1+9 years on the compressor.
Watch out: The extension to 10 years on the compressor costs ₪99 and requires registration within 14 days. No annual kWh figure appears on the page.
Electra EL47GW
60 cm bottom freezer, 347 liters net, 60 × 193.5 × 70 cm, Total No Frost, inverter compressor, white glass
Why: Per the product page it gives 347 liters with No Frost and inverter, and was on sale for about ₪2,300, with an option for 1+9 compressor warranty.
Watch out: Especially tall, 193.5 cm. Shabbat mode does not appear on the product page.
Electra EL560
4-door bottom freezer, 505 liters, marked zero-clearance, in stainless, black stainless and glass finishes
Why: In Electra's model list on Zap it is marked zero-clearance with 505 liters, for about ₪3,800–4,100, i.e. zero-clearance at a much lower price than most competitors.
Watch out: We could not open its spec page; depth, side clearance and Shabbat mode were not verified. Ask for them before ordering.
Electra EL685
4-door bottom freezer, 600 liters, in gray, stainless and glass finishes
Why: In the model list on Zap it appears with 600 liters for about ₪4,000–4,750 depending on finish, among the cheapest on the market for this capacity.
Watch out: We did not verify dimensions, consumption or Shabbat mode on a spec page. Make sure the niche is at least about 90 cm wide.
Electra ELR210
Retro top-freezer fridge, 208 liters, in cream, red, light blue and green
Why: In the model list on Zap it appears with 208 liters for about ₪1,570–1,880 depending on color, and product titles at the chains state official importer warranty.
Watch out: With retro design you pay for the look, not capacity; we did not verify the defrost type or dimensions on a spec page.
Prices in Israel: Refrigerator
A 208-liter retro, a 415–528 liter top freezer or a 347-liter 60 cm bottom freezer; for a couple, a second fridge or a tight budget.
Electra 4-door of 421–505 liters, some zero-clearance, with No Frost and a light switch or Shabbat mode; most families of 3–5.
600–601 liters or glass zero-clearance; for a large family that wants maximum capacity for under ₪5,000.

Is an Electra refrigerator worth buying?
An Electra refrigerator is worth it for anyone looking for many liters at a low price, with No Frost and Tzomet Institute Shabbat certification on some models, who is willing to pay ₪99 and register to get 10 years of compressor warranty.
What Electra sells: per the model list on Zap, Electra has more than 120 fridges listed, including archived models. In the current market we saw a 208-liter retro fridge, 415–635 liter top freezers, 323–680 liter bottom freezers, Electra 4-door fridges of 421–601 liters, and built-in fridges of 300–403 liters.
What Electra says about itself: a sponsored Electra article on ynet states that the brand has an 18% share of the Israeli fridge market, per an unnamed international research firm, that there are more than 130 models, and that the extended 1+9 warranty is the longest on the market. These are the brand's claims, and we did not verify them.
Strengths, per what we saw:
- Price per liter: 466 liters for about ₪2,800–3,500 and 600 liters for about ₪4,000–4,750.
- Shabbat: product titles and pages list Tzomet Institute certification, and on the EL522DN the certification is broad and detailed.
- Long compressor warranty, on conditions.
- A range of finishes: white, stainless, black stainless, white and black glass, and gray.
What is less clear:
- Annual kWh consumption figures barely appear on the product pages we read.
- We saw most models at chains linked to Electra, and less at independent stores, so prices are harder to compare.
- For some models we could not open a full spec page.
The bottom line up front: on a family budget of ₪3,000–4,500, an Electra 4-door gives capacity that is hard to find from competitors. If a full Shabbat mode matters to you, confirm exactly what is certified on the specific model.
Electra 4-door: models by capacity and price
The Electra 4-door is sold in capacities of 421 to 601 liters, and per the model list on Zap prices range from about ₪2,900 for 421 liters to about ₪4,900 for glass zero-clearance.
The models we saw in the list, by capacity:
- EL486 (421 liters): black glass, about ₪2,890.
- EL522 (466 liters): about ₪2,800–3,500 depending on finish. The EL522DN dropped on sale to about ₪2,800 at Shekem Electric, and the EL522PB is titled with the Mishmeret HaShabbat device.
- EL560 (505 liters, zero-clearance): about ₪3,800–4,100 in stainless, black stainless and glass.
- EL5070 (502 liters, zero-clearance): about ₪4,300–4,900 in white and black glass.
- EL685 (600 liters): about ₪4,000–4,750.
- EL6610 (601 liters): about ₪4,200–4,300 in glass.
EL522DN per the product page: 466 liters net, 291 fridge and 175 freezer, 79 × 180 × 73 cm, No Frost, class E. At 79 cm wide it fits an 80 cm niche, where most other brands' 4-door fridges will not.
How to choose within the range:
- 80 cm niche: EL522.
- 90 cm niche, budget: EL685 or EL6610, about 600 liters.
- A kitchen where the fridge must line up with the cabinets: EL560 or EL5070, after checking depth and hinges. We covered the measurements in our zero-clearance refrigerator guide.
A 175-liter freezer: on the EL522DN more than a third of the capacity is freezer. That is a relatively high ratio, good for families who cook ahead and freeze.
Compared with competitors: a Haier 4-door fridge of about 470 liters costs about ₪2,700–3,300, and a 611-liter Sharp 4-door about ₪8,500–9,000, per our 4-door refrigerator guide. The 600-liter Electra sits in between, closer to Haier in price.
Electra bottom freezer, top freezer and retro fridges
Outside the 4-door range, Electra sells a 60 cm bottom freezer for about ₪2,300–2,900, 415–635 liter top freezers for about ₪2,100–3,700, and a 208-liter retro fridge for about ₪1,570–1,880.
Bottom freezer:
- EL47GW: per the product page, 347 liters net, 60 × 193.5 × 70 cm, Total No Frost, inverter compressor, digital display and a flexible drawer for vegetables or meat. On sale it dropped to about ₪2,290 from about ₪2,890.
- EL46 (323 liters): about ₪1,890 in the model list.
- EL680 (680 liters): about ₪4,490, a large 2-door bottom freezer.
Top freezer:
- EL459 (415 liters): about ₪2,100–2,300. Product titles list a light switch certified by the Tzomet Institute.
- EL571 (528 liters): about ₪2,690–2,830. The EL571DN title lists the Mishmeret HaShabbat device and Tzomet certification.
- EL621 (580 liters): about ₪2,990.
- EL675 (635 liters): about ₪3,680.
Retro: ELR210, 208 liters with a top freezer, in cream, red, light blue and green. There is also the EL391, a 331-liter retro bottom freezer, for about ₪2,490.
Single door: EL4700DN, 359 liters, about ₪2,190 per the model list.
Built-in: EL300 (300 liters) and EL410 (403 liters), about ₪3,490–5,490. We covered installation inside a cabinet in our built-in refrigerator guide.
We saw the details of these models, except the EL47GW, in the model list and product titles, not on a full spec page. Treat prices as an estimate, and check the spec before ordering.
Electra warranty: what 1+9 means and how not to miss it
With Electra the warranty is one year on the whole fridge, extendable by 9 more years on the compressor; per the product page at Shekem Electric, the extension costs ₪99 and requires registration within 14 days of delivery.
What the EL522DN product page says:
- One-year warranty by law.
- 9 more years on the compressor, 10 years in total on the compressor.
- Extension cost: ₪99.
- Registration within 14 days of delivery, subject to terms.
- The plan applies to purchases between 1.3.2026 and 31.12.2026.
- A technician visit is listed on the page at ₪289.
- Importer: Electra Retail.
What it means in practice: 10 years on the compressor covers the most expensive component in the fridge. But it does not cover everything: fans, control board, sensors and seals are covered only in the first year, and after that every visit costs money.
How not to miss it:
- Pay for the extension at the time of purchase, and keep the receipt.
- Register right on delivery day. 14 days pass quickly.
- Keep a screenshot of the registration confirmation and the warranty certificate.
- Check that the purchase was made during the period the plan is valid.
Parallel import: an Electra fridge sold outside the official channel may not get the extended warranty. The price difference is small, and 10 years of compressor warranty is worth it.
Comparison: Samsung also gives one year and 10 years on the compressor through Newpro, and Sharp one year and 9 years through Ralco, per our guides. Electra's advantage is not the length of the warranty but the price of the fridge itself.
Electra fridges and Shabbat: Tzomet and Mishmeret HaShabbat
Some Electra fridges have a light switch certified by the Tzomet Institute, and some have a Mishmeret HaShabbat device or broader certification; before buying, read on the product page exactly what is certified on the model you chose.
What we saw:
- EL522DN: per the product page, Tzomet Institute certification for Shabbat and holidays covering the light, door sensor, compressor, fans and control mechanisms. This is the broadest certification we saw at Electra.
- EL522PB: the product title lists the Mishmeret HaShabbat device.
- EL459DN and EL459W: the title lists a light switch certified by the Tzomet Institute.
- EL571DN: the title lists the Mishmeret HaShabbat device and Tzomet certification.
- EL47GW: Shabbat mode does not appear on the product page.
- Per Electra's sponsored article, the company has a Shabbat accessory that works according to the Hebrew calendar. We did not see the accessory on product pages.
Light switch vs full certification: in a No Frost fridge with a display, opening the door can trigger fans, sensors or a display change, even when the bulb is off. Certification covering the door sensor, compressor and fans covers this; a light switch alone does not. Check with your rabbi what you need.
Titles vs spec page: we saw most of Electra's Shabbat details in product titles and not on a full spec page. A title may refer to a specific finish only, so make sure the certification is valid for the finish you order.
Electra fridges vs competitors at each price range
In the ₪2,500–4,500 range, Electra competes mainly with Haier, basic Blomberg and local brands; above ₪7,000 it is almost absent, and there the market belongs to Sharp, Samsung and LG.
4-door around 470 liters:
- Electra EL522: about ₪2,800–3,500, 79 cm wide, Tzomet certification on the DN version.

- Electra EL685 / EL6610: about ₪4,000–4,750.

- Sharp SJ-9270: 611 liters with the SHARP Glatt device, about ₪8,500–9,000.
60 cm bottom freezer:
- Electra EL47GW: about ₪2,300–2,900.
- Samsung RB35C6225: about ₪7,000–8,000 with Shabbat mode certified by the Scientific-Technological Institute for Halacha.
What the difference buys: between Electra and Sharp or Samsung the gap is thousands of shekels. It mainly buys a well-documented certified Shabbat mode, an inverter compressor across the range, detailed consumption data, and in some cases finish and design. If budget is your first consideration, Electra gives more liters per shekel.
Which Electra fridge by family size and kitchen
Match the Electra fridge to your family size and niche width: 208–347 liters for a couple or rental unit, 415–466 liters for a family of 3–4, and 505–680 liters for a family of 5 or more.
Young couple or rental unit: the 208-liter ELR210 retro, if looks matter and you cook little, or the 347-liter EL47GW bottom freezer, if you want a full fridge at 60 cm wide. The difference between them is about ₪700–1,000, and it buys almost 1.7 times the capacity, No Frost and inverter.
Family of 3–4, 70–80 cm niche: the 466-liter EL522, which fits at 79 cm wide. If the budget is very tight, a top freezer like the 415-liter EL459 costs about ₪2,100–2,300, but with a wide fridge door and vegetable drawers at the bottom.
Family of 5 or more, 90 cm niche: the EL685 or EL6610 of about 600 liters. Anyone who cooks a lot for Shabbat and freezes in quantity will prefer a 4-door fridge with a large freezer, and the 466-liter model already has 175 liters of freezer per the product page.
Large family without room for 90 cm: the EL680, a 680-liter 2-door bottom freezer per the model list, for about ₪4,490. We did not verify its dimensions; confirm the width before ordering.
New kitchen with floor-to-ceiling cabinets: the built-in EL300 or EL410, if you want the fridge to disappear into the cabinet, or the zero-clearance EL560 and EL5070, if you want it to keep its own front.
Second fridge for the service balcony: a simple top freezer or single-door, like the 359-liter EL4700DN. Before buying a second fridge, consider whether what you are missing is really freezer space, in which case a 6-drawer freezer is a better fit.
Before buying an Electra fridge: checklist
Before buying, confirm five things: the dimensions vs the niche, exactly what is certified for Shabbat, that the price includes delivery and carrying up, that you are eligible for the warranty extension, and that you register for it on time.
- Dimensions: the EL522DN is 79 × 180 × 73 cm, and the EL47GW is 60 × 193.5 × 70 cm. For other models, ask for the spec.
- Shabbat: read on the product page the institute's name and the list of certified components.
- Finish: the same model in different finishes can differ in price by a few hundred shekels, and sometimes in Shabbat certification too. Make sure what you checked is what you order.
- Delivery: on the EL522DN page, home delivery is listed at an extra ₪199, and self pickup is free. Check what is included in your offer.
- Warranty: pay for the extension, register within 14 days, and keep the confirmation.
- Power use: if the kWh figure does not appear, ask for the energy label.
- Sales: Electra prices at the chains change often, and we saw discounts of a few hundred shekels on the same model. If you are not in a hurry, track the price for a few weeks, and also compare delivery fees and the cost of the extension.
- Removing the old fridge: ask whether the chain removes the old fridge on delivery day, and for how much.
On delivery day: check that the fridge arrives without defects, that the doors close well and the drawers slide out. Let it stand for a few hours before plugging it in, per the manual's instruction.
Bottom line: which Electra fridge to buy
For a family with an 80 cm niche, buy the 466-liter Electra 4-door EL522 for about ₪2,800–3,500, in the DN version if broad Tzomet certification matters to you; for a 90 cm niche, the 600-liter EL685; and for a 60 cm niche, the EL47GW.

What not to do: buy by the title without checking the spec, miss registering for the warranty extension, and assume a light switch is a full Shabbat mode.
